A challenge is issued...

Unto their most Esteemed Noble and right Honorable Tanist and Ban-Tanist Aaron Duncan and Telisia Brutusdottir, the heirs to the thrones of the Principality of the Summits do I, Aleksii Konstantinovich Chernyi, Baron of the sacred lands of Blatha An Oir and Knight of An Tir send you well wishes and bid you hearken to my words……

Once again the lands south of Blatha An Oir shall be the site of Autumn War. As we have hosted this event for over 20 years now, it’s one of the longest running events in the Kingdom of An Tir. Many challenges have been asked and answered upon the golden fields of Blatha An Oir, and many brave warriors, poets, skalds, and nobles all have fallen victim to it’s carnage, bloodlust, and all-around good time.

I would entreat that you, most noble Tanist and Ban-Tanist of the Summits, should count your names among them.

The contests that we shall host for this war shall be numerous indeed, for all the peoples of the Summits and Blatha An Oir will be tested sorely, allowing each person’s honor to tell the tales upon either the warfield or the tournament field. Artisans from all over the Kingdom shall compete for their factions, and no less the valiant shall those good gentles be than the stalwart warriors who defend each realm.

I see your vast warband on the move in the south, and I wish to test the skills of my warriors against your own under the watchful eyes of the An Tirian populace. Should you prevail in this struggle we here in Blatha An Oir shall carry the word-fame of those mighty in the contest upon our lips. Should we however prove victorious I shall expect the same from your populace.

Or, in a pinch, we could fight over something more important……MEAD!

It is with these words that I, Aleksii Konstantinovich Chernyi, noble representative of the Crown of An Tir, declare WAR upon the Principality of the Summits and you, Aaron Duncan and Telisia Brutusdottir!

A War of Northern Aggression shall be answered this August upon your fields. Word fame from the vanquished is an acceptable reward--The MEAD sweetens the deal. Therefore, Let your warriors hold their children tight, Let your women start their wailing and lamentations, for the Southern Horde will answer the call to war.
